Early Childhood
The Early Childhood program offers a unique opportunity for our youngest learners. Our program creates a robust, year-round experience designed to prepare students cognitively, socially, and physically for transition into kindergarten. Our preschool reflects the belief that because each child grows at his or her own rate and pattern, each class must incorporate activities for individual levels of readiness. Our warm and caring atmosphere of playful exploration and discovery ignites inquiry and incorporates multi-sensory experiences.
Our teachers recognize that the love of learning encompasses many learning styles, thus leading to a program that offers a rich resource of activities where risks are encouraged and every child is respected. This philosophy extends through kindergarten with the emerging literacy and math programs that are guided by a qualified teacher and assistant, and our Early Childhood division incorporates weekly enrichment “specials,” which are classes taught by specialist teachers in art, music, physical education, library media, and technology.

The Best Place To Start
Starting in the 2025-2026 school year, Fayette Academy is thrilled to introduce our new PK2 program! This innovative 52-week program will be available from 6:30 A.M. to 5:45 P.M. Please note that the PK2 classroom will be closed on major holidays.
In addition to PK2, Fayette Academy offers PK3 and PK4 classrooms which follow the traditional school year calendar. Our PK3 program is unique as it provides a part-time enrollment option. Families can choose between a 3-day-per-week schedule (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) or a 2-day-per-week schedule (Tuesday, Thursday). Please be aware that part-time enrollment spaces are limited.
Eligibility Requirements:
- PK2: Children must be 18 months old by June 30th.
- PK3: Children must be 3 years old on or before June 30th. Please note that students must be potty trained at the time of enrollment.
- PK4: Children must be 4 years old on or before June 30th.

Meal Time
Preschoolers enjoy meal time together in their classrooms. Families can provide lunch from home or may order lunch and snacks from our Fayette Academy Cafe to be delivered to their classroom at meal time.
Nap Time
Growing minds require proper rest. Each day our preschoolers engage in supervised nap time in their classrooms. Families can provide comforts from home such as personal-fitted- nap- mat sheet, blanket, pillow and that special stuffed animal to ensure a comfortable rest time.
Enrichment
All preschoolers participate in enrichment programs developed just for them. They experience a rotation each week in music, art, library media, physical education, and STEM.
Before & After School Care
Preschoolers are eligible for our Before and After School programs supervised by faculty members. New enrichment programs are provided every day, including robotics, maker kits, coloring, time in the garden, and of course, extra playground time.
