Ms. Backus received the L.E.A.D.S. Professional Development Grant from Leaders Education Foundation grant for $1000 to attend the SCOLT (Southern Conference on Language Teaching) conference in March in Nashville. Language teachers from all over the South come together annually to share the best ideas, practices, and research.
We are also thrilled to announce that the Fayette Academy’s SKOL Robotics team, though still a relatively new program, has been selected to receive a grant from the prestigious Argosy Foundation, distributed by the HCB (Hack Club Foundation). This funding will provide crucial support as we continue to develop and grow our robotics initiatives.
While our team may not yet have the long history of excellence as some others, we are dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation. This recognition from the Argosy Foundation encourages us to keep pushing forward and reaching new heights.
We are grateful for this opportunity and look forward to leveraging these resources to further enhance our robotics program and inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
Congratulations Ms. Backus and Ms. Reeves!!!
