Fayette Academy is preparing students for exciting futures in STEM, thanks to a grant from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), Bicentennial Volunteers, Inc. (BVI), and support from Chickasaw Electric Cooperative.
With the funding, teacher Ms. Haylee Montague introduced Ozobots—small programmable robots that help students learn coding, robotics, and problem-solving through hands-on activities. Her project, Ozobots: An Introduction, includes creative lessons like drawing color-coded paths, building obstacle courses, storytelling, and timed races.
These activities bring coding to life and encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. We are deeply grateful to TVA, BVI, Chickasaw Electric Cooperative, and Ms. Montague for helping ignite a passion for STEM at Fayette Academy.
