Michael R. Atkeison (Mike) is a Professional Engineer (P.E.) who presently serves as President of Atkeison Engineering, LLC where he designs, inspects, and certifies that residential home foundations meet the standard building code requirements. His customers consist of home builders, concrete contractors, real estate agents, and homeowners. He earned a B.S. (1988) and M.S. (1990) in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University and is also a Fayette Academy alumni. Mike has spent most of his professional life as an entrepreneur and started Oakland Concrete in 1996. Mike serves on the Civil and Environmental Engineering Advisory Board for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Mississippi State University. He also serves as an elder on the Session at Christ Presbyterian Church. A lifelong resident, Mike and his wife, Becky, live in Somerville, Tennessee. Their son, John Michael, is a 2014 Fayette Academy alumni.
